The photos in my Magnificent Mums portfolio celebrate the healing power of flowers and the beauty of chrysanthemums, commonly known as mums. The name, chrysanthemum, comes from the Greek and means golden flower.
My hometown, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, celebrates the beauty of mums with a spectacular floral display every autumn in the Gage Park greenhouse. I made many of the photos in this portfolio there. A glance at any of these glorious blooms instantly raises my spirits. I hope that looking at these images delights you, too.

The photos in The Earth Laughs in Flowers portfolio celebrate the infinite variety of chrysanthemums, commonly known as mums. The name, chrysanthemum, comes from the Greek and means golden flower. A symbol of the sun, mums are November’s birth flower and signify compassion, friendship, secret love, optimism and joy.
