The body of my photographic work depicts different ways of seeing by focusing on abstractions and highlighting fragments of a greater whole. By so doing, I hope to entice viewers to look at ordinary and everyday things in a more perceptive way.

The photos below were taken at Pier 4 in Hamilton harbour. 

They abstract fragments of ‘Canadian Transfer’, a massive ocean-going freighter that serves Hamilton’s once thriving steel industry.

In providing abstract images of an ordinary freighter, the photos revolutionize our way of seeing, shedding a new light on Hamilton’s harbour and shipping industry.
